VEGETABLE UPMA 

A very popular Indian breakfast made with semolina and veggies (onions, peas,beans,carrot) of your choice.My all time Favorite Give a try! I am sure you will love it. 


INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup semolina (rava/suji) 
  • 1 medium size of carrot 
  • 1/4 cup of peas 
  • 1/4 cup of beans 
  • 1 medium size of carrot 
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 2-3 tsp ghee/oil 
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal 
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds) 
  • 10-12 peanuts 
  • 8-10 curry leaves 
  • salt to taste 
  • water as required

STEPS:

Step 1: Heat ghee/oil in a non stick pan. Add peanuts,mustard seeds, jeera ,curry leaves and urad dal and saute. Then chop onions.

Step 2: Add onions and saute for 2 minutes. Heat 2 cups water in another pan. When the onion becomes golden, add semolina and saute for 2-3 minutes

Step 3: Add hot water to the pan and cook till most of the water is absorbed. Add carrot, beans, peas and mix. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4: Add salt as required. Cover it and cook till the semolina is properly cooked. Serve hot.

Step 5: Garnish with coriander leaves.
