INGREDIENTS:
For Kachori dough:
1 cup maida (refined flour)
2 Tbsp oil
salt as required
Oil for deep frying
For Dal Kachori:
1/2 cup arhar ki daal (yellow lentils)soaked for 2 hours
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
2 tsp green chillies
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp ginger chopped
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp dry mango powder
salt as required
STEPS:
Step 1: Drain dal and grind coarsely. Then heat oil and add jeera, fennel seeds, green chilies, ginger, coriander powder, chilli powder, dry mango powder, salt and moong dal. saute till it becomes dry
Step 2: Make small lemon sized rounds of dough and fill one tablespoon of this dry mixture.Bring the all edges together, cover the filling completely and seal it.
Step 3: Heat oil and deep-fry the kachoris until it turns golden brown evenly.
Step 4: Serve it with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
